By banding together in a community, the collective stands a better chance to resolve service delivery challenges and safety issues.
The FBW Community Forum conveys City of Johannesburg (CoJ) notifications through WhatsApp, to keep the community abreast of City Power, Pikitup, Joburg Water and other Ward 70 issues in close collaboration with the Ward Councillor, as well as SAPS accomplishments and initiatives.
Reported service delivery issues are escalated to the relevant authorities. (Reference numbers and details required, including address, name and nature of problem).
FBW Community Forum members may post issues of concern on a WhatsApp group which include sponsoring security companies that could respond, if feasible.
In addition to sponsoring security companies, patrollers collaborate with other community bodies, under auspices of the Florida Community Policing Forum and SAPS, towards crime prevention.
Opportunity to attend monthly meetings where updates on current affairs are shared and guest speakers address issues of relevance to the community forum and its members
